Dahlia seems strangely willing to die for her cause (though no doubt she won't), but I can't help thinking, 'What then? She'll be dead?' So I just felt like drawing that, I 'spose. Was originally going to be Cortes and Wayan with her, but then I thought that it was about time Mahad grew up, and realised this whole rebellion is about more than his mother, so despite liking Wayan more, Mahad got the job.

I'm fairly pleased with how this turned out. Certainly I've never done three people in three complex poses before. And I think Dahlia looks suitably skewed so that it's fairly evident she's not feeling anything.

The title is a reference to the desperation for water in Skyland, and my way of pointing out that (in a more realistic continuity, anyway) even if Dahlia DID die, a few tears'd most probably be the only water her sacrifice would produce.
